The release date for Battlements is July 22, 2026, on PC. This arcade strategy game revives the classic three-phase loop of the 1990s title Rampart, requiring you to frantically patch stone walls, position cannons within enclosed spaces, and manually aim shots at incoming pirate fleets. Success depends entirely on your speed during the building window and your accuracy during the naval bombardment, as there is no auto-targeting to help you survive the Crimson Waves Empire.

The challenge lies in the spatial puzzle of the hand-painted coastlines. Because you can only place cannons on land that is fully sealed behind walls, a single breach in your perimeter can render your entire battery useless for the next wave. Between fights, you manage a growing deck of special cards and upgrades to handle tougher galleons and sloops.
